ACEC Summit unfolds in midst of Southern Alberta floods
"Where's an engineer when you need one?" somebody quipped at the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC/AFIC) Summit held last week in Lake Louise, Alberta. Jokes like this helped to alleviate some of the stress of being in the very region where a natural disaster was unfolding, one that showed that even the best engineered roads aren't always a match for Mother Nature.

Saskatchewan Consulting Engineer voted Chair of National Organization
Consulting Engineers of Saskatchewan (CES) is pleased to announce that Jason Mewis, P. Eng., was elected 2013-2014 Chair of The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Canada (ACEC) at their Annual General Meeting in Lake Louise June 21, 2013. As Chair, Mewis becomes the public face of the association, representing nearly 500 independent consulting companies across Canada.
