STC Legacy Partnership signed at Muskeg Lake Cree Nation

On October 11, 2018, Engcomp formally signed a Legacy Partnership with the Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC). At the Spring Treaty Assembly at Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, this partnership was signed, along with the reaffirmation of six other Legacy Partnerships. The event also included a re-commitment by Nutrien of its Indigenous inclusion strategy. In attendance were Chuck Magro (Nutrien CEO/President), Tim Herrod (Nutrien VP Procurement), Nutrien site General Managers and Nutrien’s Diversity and Inclusion Engagement team.

STC represents seven First Nations communities within the Saskatoon region (Muskeg Lake, Muskoday, Yellow Quill, One Arrow, Whitecap, Kinistin and Mistawasis) along with the First Nations population within the City of Saskatoon. They have developed a small handful of Legacy Partnerships that furthers the growth of its members, and vice versa.

Other Legacy Partners include KPCL Dirt Movers, Bee-Clean Building Maintenance, Brock Canada, 3Twenty Modular, GMS Mining Repair & Maintenance, and Commercial Sandblasting.

Ongoing, this will be a mutually beneficial partnership arrangement and one that is a substantial advancement in Engcomp’s Indigenous Engagement Strategy.
